From 2003 to 2005, Rascoff served as Vice President of Lodging for Expedia, Inc. In 1999, Rascoff co-founded Hotwire, Inc., an online travel company, and managed several of Hotwire's product lines before Hotwire was acquired in 2003 by IAC/InterActiveCorp, Expedia, Inc.'s parent company at the time. Rascoff served in the mergers and acquisitions group at Goldman, Sachs & Co., an investment banking and securities firm. Rascoff has served on the board of directors of TripAdvisor, Inc. since September of 2014. Rascoff also serves on the advisory board at Seattle Children's Research Institute. Dan Levitan is a Co-Founder and serves as Partner at Maveron. He serves as Board Member at Pro.com, AllBbirds, Pluto VR. Since co-founding the firm with Howard Schultz 16 years ago, Levitan has led many of the firm's successful investments, including zulily, Trupanion, Capella Education, and Potbelly. Levitan met Howard Schultz in 1991, when Starbucks began planning for its IPO, and eventually helped the company go public. Levitan has acted as a board member to numerous private, public and philanthropic organizations, including the Rock Center for Entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School, where he regularly acts as a judge and mentor in the annual New Venture Competition. He serves on the board of the Seattle Children's Hospital Foundation and is currently Chairman of Hope for Heroism, a charity that helps wounded Israeli combat soldiers.
